Seven GB3 graduates remained in action on the final day of FIA Formula 3 testing at Valencia, with three of those ending the day inside the top-10.
Reece Ushijima, a double GB3 race winner was second fastest in the final session of the week as he switched to the Campos team, having operated with Van Amersfoort Racing on the first two days. The Japanese-American was just under a couple of tenths away from the session benchmark, set by 2021 F3 runner-up Jack Doohan.
GB3 podium finisher Hunter Yeany was seventh quickest, also with Campos, while 2021 GB3 in association with the BRDC champion Zak O’Sullivan enjoyed his best session of the three day test by posting the eighth quickest time for Carlin, and just over half a second off top spot.
Nazim Azman was 14th for Charouz and the final driver within a second of the leading time. Oliver Bearman was 24th for Prema, ahead of Kaylen Frederick in 27th for Hitech, with Johnathan Hoggard 29th in the afternoon session, also for Hitech.
The morning session also saw positive results, with 2020 champion Frederick leading the GB3 graduates with the sixth quickest time, with Ushijima 10th.
Hoggard and Bearman were also inside the top-half of the times, and within three quarters of a second of the pace, with the morning session being the quickest of the day.
All seven drivers are likely to be eyeing drives in FIA F3 next season, while Roberto Faria, a GB3 race winner this year was in action on the first day as he too evaluates a move into the F1 paddock next year.
