Biography

18-year-old Brazilian Roberto Faria has switched to Carlin for this year’s GB3 Championship partnered by the BRDC season. This will be Roberto’s second full season in the series, having already achieved several podiums and a race win.

Faria began his car racing career in the UK in 2019 with a season in British F4. A part campaign in British F4 followed one year later, combined with outings in BRDC British F3, yielding podium finishes in both.

Remaining in the now rebranded GB3 Championship for 2021, Faria claimed a total of nine podiums, including a win at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit, to finish fifth overall in the championship standings.  The Rio de Janiero-born racer now has his sights set firmly on the 2022 title.

Prior to his single-seater debut, he’d enjoyed a strong karting career, where he claimed multiple State Championship honours in his homeland, before moving on to the CIK-FIA OK-Junior European Karting Championship.
