GB3 aces Joel Granfors and Roberto Faria have been confirmed as taking part in this week’s official FIA Formula 3 test at Jerez.
Title contender Granfors will be in action for Carlin when the test commences on Wednesday (21 September), while Faria takes up a berth at Van Amersfoort Racing.
For Granfors, it will be his first taste of FIA F3 machinery, while Faria has prior experience courtesy of mileage in testing ahead of the 2022 season before electing to remain in GB3.
They’ll join a number of GB3 alumni in the test, including last year’s champion Zak O’Sullivan, who impressed massively in his debut F3 campaign this year, with a pole position and podium at Silverstone and another top-three at Zandvoort on his way to 11th overall.
O’Sullivan will drive for Prema in the test, while 2020 BRDC British F3 champion Kaylen Frederick will test for ART, 2021 race-winner Reece Ushijima returns to Hitech GP and Christian Mansell heads to Campos.
This year’s GB3 Champion will again receive an FIA F3 test, with either Luke Browning or Granfors set to be crowned champion at Donington Park in October.
