Voisin's verdict: 2022 season review

Voisin's verdict: 2022 season review

07 November 2022

Carlin’s Callum Voisin enjoyed an excellent first season of single-seaters, proving to be a strong contender for race victories and a podium regular almost from the off, in his first season out of Ginetta Juniors.

Not only did he win three races, he also came close to at least two more, and also won the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup for the driver with the most pole positions, a clear demonstration of his speed.

Here’s his thoughts on a successful season.

Best moment:
First win and podium at Donington at round three in May

Toughest moment:
Crashing in the Brands Hatch qualification as it made the whole weekend very difficult.

Favourite race of the year:
Silverstone, reverse grid race when I came from the back row to fourth.

Favourite driver to race against this year:
Luke Browning. I wish him all the best for the future and hope I race him again one day.

If I could race anything next year, it would be…
Well, the ultimate goal is F1, so any single-seater that helps me progress in that direction.

I’m going to spend my winter doing…
Keeping my fitness up, which hopefully will include a bit of skiing, along with continuing my A-level studies at school.
