What they said: Silverstone race three

Noah Ping claimed his first GB3 victory in the final race of the weekend at Silverstone. He finished ahead of Arden VRD teammate Nico Christodoulou with Chris Dittmann Racing's Arthur Rogeon completing a trio of first-time podium finishers. Here's how each reacted at the end of the race.

Winner, Noah Ping, Arden VRD:
"Yeah it’s good, unfortunately it’s a reverse grid, I would’ve liked it to be a normal race but we’ll take the points, we’ll take the win and it’s nice to see another Arden VRD guy on the podium. I can’t say thanks enough to this team, they work really hard. Our car was insane, I could plant the throttle whenever I wanted, I could roll the speed the I wanted, it never seemed to drop off. I saw I had some consistent laptimes there, it was just about hitting my marks and keeping my eyes forward.

"I didn’t really do any winter testing in this car, so it’s been a lot to progress up and unfortunately it was wet yesterday in qualifying and I had the pace when it was dry but unfortunately it’s England. It just seems to rain here almost every day but I’m glad it was dry and I’m glad we could get some pace and get some results.

"I want to thank my Dad, my brother, Dan Mitchell, Arden, all the guys who put me up here, all the boys back home in the States who helped me through F4. There’s more to come for this team for sure, I think we’ll be up there if its dry, for sure, in the wet, we have to work on that, in races to come I think we’ll be really strong."

Second, Nico Christodoulou, Arden VRD:
"It wasn’t too bad, in Brooklands/Luffield, it was more my section so it was easy to capitalise on people. Overall it was a really good race, made it from P9 to P2 so I’m really happy with that.

"I just wanted to brake late, brake with no pressure and send it in and hope it sticks. I’m really happy the other guys were able to give the respect and leave some room, overall it was good racing.

"The team’s been doing a really good job recently, we didn’t have the best round at Oulton, here we’ve really shown what we can do, we’ve been fast at certain times, we’ve got to work on the wet a bit but we’ll be there for the next."

Third, Arthur Rogeon, Chris Dittmann Racing:
"I’m really happy to be on the podium for my second weekend in single-seaters. We started P5, I know we had the pace to be on the podium, to achieve that was really nice.

"I would like to thank Chris Dittmann, my parents, all my sponsors for believing in me and helping me to do this season."
