Voisin back in control of Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup

Voisin back in control of Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup

12 September 2023

Rodin Carlin’s Callum Voisin not only extended his championship lead at Brands Hatch, but he also moved himself clear at the top of the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup.

Voisin, who won last year’s Pole Position Cup, is on course to become the first repeat winner in the award’s history, having now taken four poles in qualifying so far this year. He won the prize with five last season.

He entered the weekend level on poles with JHR’s Matthew Rees, but with Rees’ teammate Joseph Loake claiming the other pole on offer, Voisin is now one clear at the top.

Rees and Loake are level with three poles, while Voisin’s teammate John Bennett has two to his name.

Each pole is worth £250 in prize money and a trophy too, meaning Voisin has earned £1,000 for pole positions in 2023. A pole double at Zandvoort would see him take this year’s end of season £2,000 prize and a trophy, with the same awards going to his team, as well as the David Poole-Warren Pole Position Cup.

Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup standings:
1. Callum Voisin, Rodin Carlin, 4 poles
2. Matthew Rees, JHR Developments, 3 poles
=. Joseph Loake, JHR Developments, 3 poles
4. John Bennett, Rodin Carlin, 2 poles
