Karting champion Flynn Jackes joins Chris Dittmann Racing for GB3 return

23 February 2024

Chris Dittmann Racing has confirmed that Filipino-Australian driver Flynn Jackes will race for the team in the 2024 GB3 Championship.

Flynn enjoyed a successful karting career spanning Asia and Australia, and he became Mini-ROK Champion in the Philippines in 2012, aged just nine years-old. He successfully defended his title the following year.

After moving to Australia in 2015, Flynn went on to race at KF3 level in the Australian Karting Championship and Queensland Kart Championship where he continued to show great pace and potential, until he took the big step to come to the UK, jumping on the opportunity to complete three races during the GB3 Championship season finale at Donington Park in 2021.

For 2024, Flynn, who is a Hitech Academy Driver, will make his return to the championship, and now faces the challenge of reacquainting himself with the competitive field and the updated Tatuus MSV-022 machine after a two-season hiatus.

Ready for the challenge however, Flynn will take on a busy programme of testing with the team and will benefit from an in-depth training regime both on and off track.

Flynn Jackes said: “I’m happy to announce that I will be competing in the GB3 Championship with CDR for the 2024 season. It's a great opportunity to race in such a competitive Championship and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do.”

Team Owner Chris Dittmann said: “It’s brilliant to welcome Flynn to the team as he showed a lot of potential when he raced in the GB3 Championship back in 2021.

“The championship has progressed a lot since then but we’re confident we have the right tools to help Flynn continue to develop as a driver. We’re looking forward to pre-season testing, and hopefully a strong season together.”
