GB4 racer Sebastian Murray steps up to GB3 with Chris Dittmann Racing

26 February 2024

Sebastian Murray will step up from the GB4 Championship into GB3 this year, after confirming a deal with Chris Dittmann Racing.

The Scottish-born 16-year-old, who is based in the United Arab Emirates, made his single seater debut at the 2022 F4 UAE Trophy event at Yas Marina Circuit, supporting the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where he scored an impressive pair of top ten finishes.

At the beginning of 2023, Sebastian contested the full F4 UAE season, as well as taking in a busy programme of F4 testing across Europe. Looking to expand his single-seater experience even further, he took part in the final two rounds of the GB4 Championship, at Brands Hatch and Donington Park, adding three top ten finishes to his name.

For 2024, Sebastian, who is a Hitech Academy Driver, will make the step up to the GB3 Championship, ready to take on the challenge of the higher powered Tatuus MSV-022 and contest his first full season of racing in the UK.

Sebastian Murray said: “I am thrilled to announce that I will be competing in the GB3 Championship this coming season with CDR. The GB3 Championship is filled with amazing tracks and talent, and I am very excited for the challenge ahead. Huge thanks to CDR for the opportunity”

Team Owner Chris Dittmann said: “We’re excited to expand our GB3 Championship line-up with Sebastian, as he has been quick in everything he has raced in previously, and we look forward to helping him take this step up.

“We’ve got a couple of weeks to get stuck into pre-season testing so he can familiarise himself with more of the circuits as this will be his first full season in the UK, but we’ll be pushing for a good competitive campaign together.”
