VRD Racing by Arden to bring all-American line-up to 2024 GB3 challenge

09 February 2024

VRD Racing and Arden Motorsport will again combine their GB3 Championship efforts in the 2024 season under the rebranded VRD Racing by Arden title, and is set to field a three-car all-American line-up.

Both teams have been collaborating for two seasons, with the initial tie-up resulting in Nico Christodoulou moving over to UK competition midway through 2022. The arrangement grew stronger in 2023 when VRD fielded two of its drivers, as Noah Ping joined Christodoulou at the squad. Both drivers claimed silverware in 2023, with Ping winning at Silverstone and Snetterton, and the team claiming third place in the team’s championship. Additional wins from James Hedley pushed him to sixth in the driver’s standings.

For 2024, the arrangement grows even stronger with VRD Racing by Arden set to feature an all-American three-car line-up as VRD Racing continues its international expansion. The full driver roster to be announced within the next two weeks.

VRD Racing’s Dan Mitchell said: “VRD Racing is experiencing rapid growth both in the USA and in Europe.  For our American drivers who are now planning routes into Europe with us in the near future, VRD Racing needed to establish a clear path in the UK. Our renewed and very successful association with Arden and in GB3 allows us to do just that.  I’m very excited about driver line-up and we look to challenge for the title in our third year of the collaboration.”

Arden Motorsport’s Garry Horner said:  “We are very excited to once again collaborate with the VRD team in 2024.  After a solid year in 2023, we look to build on that success and push forward to establish our place in the GB3 series and provide a solid platform for more young American drivers that Dan is introducing to the European scene.”
