Amended race two result

23 June 2024

Following the conclusion of the second race of the weekend at the Hungaroring, the car of driver #22 (Tymek Kucharczyk) was found to be technically non-compliant

The Technical Delegate has reported that car #22 did not have an operable fire extinguisher following post-race examination.

The Stewards, having summoned and heard from both the Competitor's Representative and the driver, and watched on-board video from car #22, have determined that the fire extinguisher was activated during the formation lap.

The driver, aware of foam appearing in the cockpit, stated that he had already passed the pit entrance and continued to take the race start and complete the full race.

The Stewards consider that the car was technically non-compliant throughout the race (in breach of Article 3 of the 2024 GB3 Championship Partnered by the BRDC Technical Regulations) and that the driver was in breach of Article 12.2.1.k of the ISC. The Competitor was reminded of his right of appeal.

Car #22 is Disqualified from the Results of GB3 Race 2 and the driver, Tymek Kucharczyk, is obligated to accomplish some work of public interest at the next round at Zandvoort (13-14 July 2024) to be determined by the Stewards of that Event.
