Louis Sharp, John Bennett and Ugo Ugochukwu were the top-three drivers in the first qualifying session of the year at Oulton Park. Here's how each driver reacted at the end of the session.
Double pole, Louis Sharp, Rodin Motorsport:
"It’s not a bad start, I've got to give a big thank you to the team, the car was unreal to be honest, it was really hooked up. After practice, we knew we’d be there or thereabouts but I’m really, really happy to be able to get it done in the end, hopefully this good pace translates into the race later in the weekend.
"I’m going to be honest, my lap didn’t even feel that good, so I think there’s maybe a little bit more in it, but I think it just shows all the hard work the team has put in over the winter and getting me ready for the championship and making the car even better. I think it just shows that it has all come together and the pace is obviously there.
"If I can get off the line in first, I don’t see there being many opportunities to pass. Obviously, I’m yet to do a start in GB3 so we’ll see what happens but the starts we have done, I’m pretty confident in them. But when it’s actually on the grid in the real thing it could be different so hopefully just get off the line well and if we can lead after the first lap we should be fine."
Second, John Bennett, JHR Developments:
"We’re not quite where we wanted to be but P2 is still a very good way to start, a double P2. A strong first qualifying of the season, a bit of work to do to get that final spot. It’s a good place to start and we’ll see what happens in the races.
"At Oulton, it’s very hard to overtake around here, especially in these cars, it’ll all just be T1, see who gets the best start. Try and get a solid launch off the line and go from there."
Third, Ugo Ugochukwu, Rodin Motorsport:
"I think it was overall a pretty positive quali. Starting from P3 gives us a good chance to go for a podium and hopefully move forward even more.
"I think ideally we try to get a good start, that will be the main thing, obviously overtaking will be difficult so if we can have a good first lap that will be good and from there try to keep the tyres in a good place, keep pressure on the guys ahead and we’ll see how it goes to be honest.
"It’s [the car] something different to learn again, I’ve been able to adapt quite well, still some things to learn so I think I’m still improving every time in the car. I’m looking forward to the race I think we can get a good result."
