How to follow GB3’s Spa weekend

The GB3 Championship heads to Spa-Francorchamps this weekend (1-2 June) for the first of three international rounds on this year’s calendar. Action starts on Thursday with four test sessions, ahead of further action and qualifying on Friday, before racing on Saturday and Sunday.

Here’s all the key action times to be aware of this weekend, and the various methods the on track activity can be followed.

Thursday 30 May
Four test sessions will commence activity at one of the world’s most famous racing venues, with almost three hours of track time to get acquainted with the challenging ribbon of tarmac through the Ardennes.

09.48-10.28 – Session one
11.14-11.54 – Session two
14.40-15.20 – Session three
17.10-17.50 – Session four

Friday 31 May – live timing
A slight change to the usual weekend format will include three more test sessions, totalling 2hrs15mins of track time, before an extended 25-minute qualifying session ends the day, as usual forming the grid for races one and two.

10.08-10.53 – Session one
13.15-14.00 – Session two
15.44-16.29 – Session three
17.15-17.40 – Qualifying

Saturday 1 June – live streaming
11.44-12.04 – Race one
16.39-16.59 – Race two

Unlike most GB3 events, the first two races of the weekend will take place on Saturday, with the first contest, formed by the fastest times in qualifying, due to start at 11.44. The second race, with the grid formed by second-quickest laps, scheduled for 16.39. All the races will be streamed live with full build-up and post-race analysis, via the live timing page, in addition to the MSV TV YouTube channel and the GB3 Championship Facebook page.

Sunday 1 June – live streaming
13.55-14.20 – Race three

The final race of the weekend takes place on Sunday afternoon, and will again be the top-12 reverse encounter, with the top dozen contenders from qualifying inverted on the starting grid, with the remaining drivers behind them in qualifying order. Racing will again be streamed live via the same sources.
