Flynn Jackes completes Elite Motorsport's GB3 line-up

24 April 2025

Flynn Jackes will line-up for Elite Motorsport in this year’s GB3 Championship which gets underway at Silverstone this weekend (26/27 Apr), joining previously announced Will Macintyre and Bianca Bustamante.

The Australian-born Jackes who lives in Manila enjoyed a successful karting career spanning Asia, Europe and Australia, becoming the 2012 and ’13 Asian Mini-ROK Champion as well as multiple wins as a Junior karter.

Having moved to Australia in 2015, Flynn went on to race up to KZ2 level in the Australian Karting Championship and Queensland Karting Championship where he continued to show great pace and potential, until he took the big step to come to the UK.

He contested three GB3 races at Donington Park in 2021, returning to the championship last year but his season was curtailed when Jackes was involved in a road traffic accident last September while returning from GB3 practice.

Macintyre is returning to the Elite fold to contest his second season in GB3 while Bustamante is making her series debut having raced in the F1 Academy for the past two years.

Flynn Jackes said: “The GB3 competition is very strong but I believe I’ll have good speed that will allow me to be up at the front.

“It’s important to be consistent so the aim for me is to be at the sharp end picking up as many podiums as possible.

“I can’t wait to get back out on track. The road accident last year bought my season to an abrupt end and was the cause of a lot of distress and consequent rehabilitation.

“However, on a positive note, it has given me more determination to prove that I have what it takes to succeed.

“Last year was full of ups and downs but we have made some key changes in our approach for this year and I am extremely confident going into the season.

“Elite are a very well-established team with some great results already on the board in recent years. They have a very professional approach with great personal touches.

“This year, with the new car, everyone is on a level playing field and with the experienced members of staff that Elite have, I’m sure we will be at the front.”

Elite Motorsport Team Owner & Manager Eddie Ives said: “We are really pleased to announce Flynn in our final seat for GB3 this year.

“He was unfortunate with an incident away from racing at the end of last year which affected his winter preparation.

“But we look forward to getting stuck in with Flynn and working with him to develop him as a driver.”
