Rodin Motorsport’s Alex Ninovic ended testing ahead of this weekend’s GB3 season opener with the fastest time of the week in testing at Silverstone.
The Australian driver lapped the Grand Prix circuit with a time of 1m51.971s this morning, eight tenths of a second quicker than the GB3 circuit lap record.
That was enough to put him 0.128s clear of Hillspeed’s session two topper Freddie Slater, with the second Rodin car of Gianmarco Pradel third and a tenth further back.
Xcel Motorsport’s Patrick Heuzenroeder was 0.008s quicker than JHR’s Kai Daryanani, with Elite Motorsport’s Will Macintyre ensuring six different teams were represented inside the top-six, and covered by half a second.
Rodin’s Abbi Pulling was seventh, and set the exact same lap time as Hillspeed’s Kanato Le in eighth.
Hitech’s Nikita Johnson and JHR Developments’ Noah Lisle completed the top-10, which was split by just 0.671s.
Just over a second covered the quickest 17 drivers in testing today, with 27 drivers again taking to the track ahead of the season opener. 25 drivers are expected to participate in the season opener, a joint series record.
Action at Silverstone will resume at 10.40am on Saturday, for the first of two qualifying sessions.
