Rodin Motorsport's championship leader Alex Ninovic was in almost unbeatable form around the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit last weekend, as he stormed to his third successive Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award.
The Australian broke the official GB3 lap record during the event, setting a new benchmark of 1m18.739s in race one, which he almost matched in race two, with a 1m18.762s.
Ninovic was one of only three drivers all weekend to record a race lap in the 1m18s bracket, and was just under a tenth of a second quicker than Hillspeed's Freddie Slater. Ninovic went on to win the first two races of the weekend, as he extended his title advantage.
Gianmarco Pradel, Ninovic's teammate, was the other contender to record a fastest race lap, setting a 1m19.487s in race three.
The Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award is presented by GB3's control fuel supplier to the driver who sets the fastest race lap at each race event.
Ninovic has now won the award at the Hungaroring, Silverstone and now at Brands Hatch. Hillspeed's Freddie Slater has won the award twice, claiming it at the season-opening Silverstone event and at Spa-Francorchamps, while Xcel Motorsport's Patrick Heuzenroeder was the winner at Zandvoort.
