Having claimed the outright lead of the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup last time out in Hungary, Rodin Motorsport's Alex Ninovic secured his first pole double at Silverstone to move three clear at the top of the standings.
Having earned single poles at Zandvoort, Spa and the Hungaroring, Ninovic tightened his grip on this year's pole battle with two outstanding qualifying efforts at the home of the British Grand Prix.
In the first qualifying session for the race one grid, Ninovic was three tenths of a second clear of nearest contender Reza Seewooruthun, and in the second session immediately afterwards, was 0.126s clear of Deagen Fairclough.
The Australian is now three poles clear of his nearest rival, Hillspeed's Freddie Slater, however the Brit is unlikely to catch Ninovic in the standings, as he's only scheduled to enter one more event, next time out at Brands Hatch.
That means that Ninovic could wrap up the battle for this year's prize, should he take further poles at Brands Hatch, with just six left up for grabs across the final three events of the year, and with all other drivers in the standings on a single pole each.
Ninovic earned a trophy and £300 for his respective pole positions as part of the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup. The drivers with the most poles at the end of the year will claim a £2,000 prize.
The team of the driver with the most poles at the end of the season will also secure a £2,000 prize.
Prizes at each round are handed out by John Cavill, son of Jack, who has been a huge supporter of young drivers in MSV series since 2013.
