Rodin Motorsport's championship leader Alex Ninovic secured his second Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award prize at Silverstone last weekend, his second in succession.
Having won the prize with a lap record-beating effort at the Hungaroring last time out, the Australian set the fastest lap in two races at Silverstone, with his race two effort of 1m53.672s being the quickest of the weekend.
Ninovic's best time was around a tenth of a second quicker than laps from race winner Keanu Al Azhari, and his Hitech teammate Deagen Fairclough. His effort was all the more impressive considering he'd had to pit to repair damage after a mid-race collision with Fairclough at Brooklands.
Argenti with Prema's Reza Seewooruthun was the other driver to set a fastest race lap during the Silverstone weekend, recording a 1m54.559s in the final contest.
The Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award is presented by GB3's control fuel supplier to the driver who sets the fastest race lap at each race event.
In addition to Ninovic,Freddie Slater has also won the award twice, claiming it at the season-opening Silverstone event and at Spa-Francorchamps, while Patrick Heuzenroeder was the winner at Zandvoort.
