Chris Dittmann Racing has confirmed that Nicolas Stati will join the team to make his GB3 Championship debut at Silverstone on 2/3 August, in what will be his European racing debut.
The 16-year-old from Perth, Western Australia, is currently competing in the Formula Regional Americas Championship and has already secured a podium in his rookie season, finishing third at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
That result followed an impressive campaign in the F4 U.S. Championship, where he took three victories (at Road America, Mid-Ohio, and New Jersey) and a total of 10 podiums, finishing second in the standings—just 4.5 points away from the title.
Nicolas also finished as runner-up in the F4 Australian Championship that same year, collecting eight podiums, and has gained valuable international experience racing in F4 South East Asia, the F4 Middle East Trophy, and the Formula Regional Oceania Championship, where he claimed three top ten finishes on debut in Formula Regional machinery.
Continuing to test himself in new categories while broadening his skill set behind the wheel, Nicolas will add the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit and the Tatuus MSV GB3-025 to his résumé. Chris Dittmann Racing will support his transition and development as he steps into this highly competitive European series.
Nicolas Stati said: "I'm looking forward to driving with Chris Dittmann Racing and competing at the world-famous Silverstone for the first time. The GB3 Championship will be a new experience, and it will be tricky jumping in mid-season when everyone else has plenty of time in the car, but I can’t wait to get started and see what we can achieve."
Team Principal Chris Dittmann said: "We're excited to welcome Nicolas to the team and to European racing. He's already shown great potential in multiple F4 and Formula Regional championships around the world, and this is a fantastic opportunity for him to continue developing in one of the most competitive junior single-seater series. We're looking forward to supporting his first steps in the GB3 Championship and helping him maximise his performance at Silverstone."
