Xcel Motorsport has confirmed that Yevan David will be join the team for this weekend’s (2/3 August) GB3 Championship rounds at Silverstone.
Yevan arrives in GB3 with serious momentum, having secured four wins so far in the 2025 Euroformula Open Championship, where he currently sits second in the standings. His speed and consistency have made him one of the standout performers of the season, with five additional podiums boosting his championship aspirations.
The 18-year-old is the first Sri Lankan driver to win a major single-seater race, courtesy of his two victories in a one-off entry to the series at Monza last year.

F4 followed in 2024, competing in F4 UAE and Spanish F4. As well as his race winning Euroformula cameo, he also entered two races in Eurocup 3 and represented his country in the FIA Motorsport Games again, this time in F4.
Gary Bonnor, Xcel Motorsport Team Manager, said: “We’re really excited to welcome Yevan to the team for Silverstone. He’s proven himself to be a top talent in Euroformula this season, and we’re confident his experience and pace will translate well into the GB3 Championship.
