Hitech TGR’s Deagen Fairclough set the quickest time in the opening session of the week at Zandvoort, as the top-three started the event covered by just 0.056 seconds.

The British driver registered a 1m30.610s, just as the 90-minute session ticked over into its second half, deposing Rodin Motorsport’s Alex Ninovic, who had led much of the opening 45-minutes.

The duo were separated by just 0.056s after the hour and a half of running, with Xcel Motorsport’s Patrick Heuzenroeder third and just 0.001s further back.

Fairclough’s teammate Nikita Johnson posted the fourth fastest lap, just under three tenths of a second further back and a similar distance clear of Elite Motorsport’s Silverstone race three winner Will Macintyre.

Yuanpu Cui was the lead Argenti with Prema runner in sixth, 0.023s away from Macintyre and 0.019s ahead of the second Xcel Motorsport car of Jack Sherwood.

Cui’s teammate Reza Seewooruthun was 0.010s further back in eighth and 0.022s clear of JHR’s de facto championship leader Noah Lisle.

The third Hitech TGR car of Keanu Al Azhari completed the top-10 at the end of the first session of running, which was covered by less than three quarters of a second.

The top-14 drivers were separated by less than a second at the home of the Dutch Grand Prix.

Track action continues tomorrow, with three 30-minute sessions starting at 08.30, 13.20 and 17.30 respectively. All times listed are local, one hour ahead of UK.
