GB3’s new two part qualifying session will decide the grid for races one and two at Zandvoort, with the first session due to commence at 10.20 local time (09.20 UK).
The initial 15-minute period will decide the race one grid, and after a five-minute interval, the second session will start, and will form the race two starting order.
Visitors to the GB3 Championship website can follow qualifying by clicking this link, while the same link will show live footage of the first race, due to commence at 16.25.
Pre-event running at the circuit would suggest that a fierce fight for pole is in store; Argenti with Prema’s Reza Seewooruthun was below GB3 lap record pace in Free Practice One on Friday, while Hitech TGR’s Deagen Fairclough topped the times in the Thursday test session, and the remaining two Free Practice sessions.
Just over three quarters of a second covered the top-10 across the three sessions yesterday, with Rodin’s Alex Ninovic, Xcel’s Patrick Heuzenroeder and Hitech TGR’s Nikita Johnson all well in the mix, and less than three tenths off the outright best time.
Elite’s Will Macintyre, Xcel’s Jack Sherwood, Hitech’s Keanu Al Azhari, Rodin’s Gianmarco Pradel and Argenti with Prema’s Yuanpu Cui completed the Free Practice top-10, and will have aspirations of challenging for pole this morning.
