Leon Wilson to spearhead Arden Motorsport’s GB3 return in 2026

10 November 2025

Arden Motorsport will make a return to the GB3 Championship in 2026, promoting double GB4 race winner Leon Wilson to the category as its lead driver in their line-up.

The team, led by Garry Horner, is no stranger to GB3 having made its series debut in 2021, with wins coming almost immediately courtesy of three triumphs that year for Roman Bilinski.

Then, in collaboration with VRD Racing, further success followed across the next three seasons, with six more wins and a highest finish of third in the 2023 teams’ standings.

Arden prioritised its challenge in the GB4 Championship across 2024 and 2025, handing Wilson his car-racing debut in the process, before expanding to a three-car line-up across this year’s campaign.

Wilson’s wins came at Snetterton and then at the Donington Park season finale, with his form being a huge improvement compared to 12 months earlier, pushing him to seventh overall in the final standings.

Having sampled GB3 machinery in several tests with the team across recent weeks at Anglesey and Snetterton, Wilson has now committed to his GB3 step-up with the support of his main sponsor, Kingston Carton. The former karter stays with Arden for a third year in succession, having been a part of its Young Racing Driver Academy before commencing his car-racing career.

The team has acquired the Tatuus MSV GB3-025 cars as part of its 2026 expansion and return to international single-seater competition, an arena in which the squad has previous glory across stints in F3000, GP2, GP3, Formula 2, Formula Renault 3.5, Formula Renault and Formula Regional Europe.

Arden’s young driver programme has been strengthened in recent months with the arrival of several new rising talents, many of which have already commenced testing programmes with the team. Arden is also welcoming additional enquiries from potential GB3 and GB4 drivers as the winter testing schedule for both categories begins.

Leon Wilson said: “I’m massively excited to be stepping up to GB3 next season, and to be doing so with Arden Motorsport. This team has been such an important part of my career development up to now, so when they confirmed their plans to move back up to GB3 next year, I immediately knew where I wanted to race in 2026. It’s a big step up, but I’ve really enjoyed the testing we’ve done together so far, and I’m looking forward to more seat time over the next few months.”

Team Principal Garry Horner said: “We’re very pleased to be stepping back up to GB3 next year, and to confirm Leon as our first driver. As we grew our GB4 operations, we wanted to ensure our drivers had an option with us to continue their development, and GB3 is obviously the perfect fit. We’ve had a lot of success in various iterations in GB3 previously, and we’ll be doing everything we can to ensure this continues when we return in 2026.”
