Ninovic presented with Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup after record breaking year

21 October 2025

Rodin Motorsport's champion Alex Ninovic was presented with the 2025 Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup at Monza on Sunday, after the most dominant season-long run of form in GB3 qualifying seen so far.

He claimed yet another double pole at Monza during the season finale, as he continued his unstoppable run of qualifying form.

His first of the weekend in Q1 came with a margin of just four thousandths of a second to countryman Patrick Heuzenroeder, while his Q2 pole was with a margin of two tenths to another Australian, Noah Lisle.

Of the 16 pole positions on offer in qualifying this year, Ninovic earned 10 of them. From the Zandvoort round onwards, he claimed pole positions at every race event, with doubles coming at Silverstone and Brands Hatch in August, plus the Monza finale.

Ninovic's 10 poles is a new record for poles in a single GB3 season, with the previous best being six secured by Callum Voisin during his 2023 title winning campaign. Ninovic also exceeded the pole tallies of previous dominant champions Enaam Ahmed and Kaylen Frederick in the BRDC British F3 era, with eight each.

"It's amazing, I can't believe how successful we've been this year in qualifying" Ninovic said. "I can't thank the team, Rodin Motorsport enough for giving me the car to go out there and do it, and for all the preparation behind the scenes that makes it look so easy!"

With each pole position worth £300 as part of the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup, Ninovic earned £3,000 in prize money in 2025, in addition to the end of year £2,000 prize as the driver with the most poles.

Ninovic was presented with his end of year trophy by long-time award provider John Cavill, while as the team of the driver with most poles, Rodin Motorsport also earned an additional £2,000 prize and the David Poole-Warren Pole Position Cup.
