Ninovic and Seewooruthun claim Donington Park GB3 poles in changeable conditions

04 October 2025

Alex Ninovic and Reza Seewooruthun claimed pole positions in the double qualifying session at Donington Park this morning.

Ninovic secured his eighth pole of the year in Q1, setting his best lap just before a red flag, and when the session resumed with three minutes on the clock, rain had arrived and times couldn't be improved.

In the fully wet session two, Seewooruthun claimed his first pole position for Argenti with Prema, four tenths clear of Ninovic.

Qualifying one:
The first 15-minute session started dry, but with chilly, blustery conditions and a few drops of rain in the air. JHR's Noah Lisle set the early initial pace with a strong couple of laps, and a 1m24.042s keeping him top with four minutes to go.

Seconds later, Ninovic set a 1m23.878s to take over provisional pole, just before the red flags flew with teammate Gianmarco Pradel in the barriers at the Fogarty Esses.

Under the red flag, the rain worsened, and even though the session resumed with three minutes and 40 seconds remaining, there were no further improvements, meaning Ninovic claimed yet another pole ahead of his potentially title-clinching weekend.

Ninovic's best lap was 0.164s clear of Lisle, who secured his best qualifying result of the year in second, while Seewooruthun completed the top-three.

Needing to keep Ninovic in reach this weekend, Xcel's Patrick Heuzenroeder was fourth fastest, a quarter of a second further back and 0.166s ahead of the lead Hitech TGR of Deagen Fairclough.

JHR's Kai Daryanani, and Xcel's Jack Sherwood were separated by 0.018s in sixth and seventh, with Enzo Tarnvanichkul (VRD), Keanu Al Azhari (Hitech TGR), and JHR's newcomer Bart Harrison completing the top-10, which was covered by just over a second.

Qualifying two:
Unlike session one, the second 15-minute qualifying for the race two grid was wet throughout, with Lisle and Ninovic the early pace setters once more.

But buoyed by his third place in Q1, Seewooruthun was a man on a mission, and went top with two minutes remaining, with his 1m34.174s going unbeaten as conditions continued to worsen.

He ended up just under half a second clear of Ninovic, on the front row again, while Fortec's newcomer Liam McNeilly was a hugely impressive third quickest, and less than two tenths further back.

Fairclough climbed to fourth on the race two grid, 0.029s ahead of Lisle, with Tarnvanichkul sixth ahead of VRD newcomer Patricio Gonzalez, who enjoyed his best qualifying session in GB3 so far.

Abbi Pulling put her Rodin car eighth ahead of Heuzenroeder, with Elite's Flynn Jackes another to earn his best qualifying result of the year as he completed the race two grid top-10.

The first race of the weekend is due to commence at 15.15 this afternoon.
