What they said: Donington Park qualifying

Alex Ninovic and Reza Seewooruthun claimed pole positions at Donington Park in the double qualifying session this morning. Here's how each driver reacted at the end of the session.

Race one pole, Alex Ninovic, Rodin Motorsport:
"To get the pole for race one is amazing and then sets us up for a good weekend. The car feels pretty good, I'm happy with the team and can't wait for the racing coming up, and I think we should be able to convert into some good points.

"It's all about the points, and collecting as many points as we can in the next races is important. We'll see how it goes, try and maximise as much as we can and hopefully come away with the championship one round early. But you can't say anything until it happens, and we'll be putting in 100% effort and hopefully it all pays off.

"We've raced here in the past and I like the circuit. The team does a good job with the car and it's put us in a good position to score some really good points."

Race two pole, Reza Seewooruthun, Argenti with Prema:
"It was a very good session, I just had a clear track. The team really helped set me up in a good place, I had a clear run really.

"We tried lots of different things over the couple of laps, did our cooldown when we needed to and the pace was there. I made all the mistakes yesterday in the practices, had some offs and stuff, but pulled it all together in the Qualifying session.

"I want to get a good start in the first race. Wet starts are always tricky for everyone, so I want try and capitalise on everyone else's mistakes and go for the win.

"I've got low pressure, we're sat in seventh at the moment. They're going to be playing the long game, we can play the short game, get it done."
