Champion Ninovic extends Pole Position Cup margin as Seewooruthun takes first pole

07 October 2025

Rodin Motorsport's newly crowned champion Alex Ninovic extended his margin at the top of this year's Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup with his eighth pole and sixth in succession in qualifying at Donington Park on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Argenti with Prema's Reza Seewooruthun added his name to this year's leaderboard, with his first GB3 pole in the second qualifying session.

Ninovic's sixth successive pole came in the first qualifying session on Saturday morning, with the Australian setting the fastest time literally seconds before red flags came out with four minutes to go. When the session resumed, rain had arrived, scuppering any chances of further improvements, meaning Ninovic, who had already claimed this year's Pole Position Cup honours at Brands Hatch, further extended his lead at the top.

As for the ever-improving Seewooruthun, his first pole came after setting the second quickest time in Q1, and then mastered the tricky wet conditions in Q2, setting a time four tenths of a second quicker than Ninovic to secure his second front-row starting position across the last three events.

With £300 on offer for each pole position, Ninovic has already earned £2,400 in prize money, and will earn an additional end of year £2,000 prize at the season finale at Monza. Seewooruthun meanwhile claimed his first pay cheque of the season.

As a result of Ninovic’s triumph in this year’s Pole Position Cup, his Rodin Motorsport team were presented with the David Poole-Warren Pole Position Cup, and an end of year £2,000 prize on Saturday by Gill Biffa, David Poole-Warren's sister. Ninovic will collect his end of year trophy at the Monza finale.

Prizes at each round are handed out by John Cavill, son of Jack, who has been a huge supporter of young drivers in MSV series since 2013.
