The first qualifying session of the 2026 GB3 Championship season is due to start at 10.40 UK, with VRD Racing’s Nikita Bedrin looking to be the driver to beat following yesterday's final day of practice.
The Italian was over a quarter of a second quicker than his nearest challenger, Rodin Motorsport’s Martin Molnar, and enters qualifying having been inside the top two in both days of testing. His fastest lap of a 1m49.577s on Friday was over two seconds faster than the best pole position time at Silverstone last year.
Bedrin will face stern competition from his competitors though, with Hitech’s Deagen Fairclough setting the pace on Thursday and placing third on Friday, just 0.078s back from Molnar’s time.
The other two Rodin drivers, Maxim Rehm and Abbi Pulling, have also demonstrated strong pace, setting times good enough for fourth and fifth respectively on both days. Rowan Campbell-Pilling will hope to push his Xcel Motorsport into the fight for pole too.
The field of 23 drivers will take on two qualifying sessions, each 15 minutes in duration, to set the grid for all three races this weekend.
Qualifying session one will determine the grid for race one this afternoon, with session two setting the grid for race two on Sunday morning. The grid for the final race of the weekend features a top-12 reversal of the combined qualifying result.
