Flynn Jackes stays with Elite Motorsport for GB3 return

03 April 2026

Elite Motorsport will run Flynn Jackes for a second consecutive season when he contests this year’s GB3 Championship.

Jackes finished 20th in last year’s GB3 campaign, his first full season in the series, claiming eight top-15 race results including a season best fourth-place finish at the Hungaroring last July.

Jackes has already shown impressive pace in testing at Snetterton, Donington Park and Silverstone in recent weeks, running inside the top-five at Donington and was fourth quickest on the second day at Silverstone.

Flynn had a successful karting career in Asia, Europe and Australia, becoming the 2012 and ’13 Asian Mini-ROK Champion. He moved to Australia in 2015, racing in KZ2 in the Australian and Queensland Karting Championships prior to heading to the UK.

He first contested a GB3 event at Donington Park in 2021, returning to the championship in 2024 before his season was curtailed when Jackes was involved in a road traffic accident.

Flynn Jackes: “My aim is to build off the baseline set last year with the new GB3 car and improve my results overall. I hope to achieve my first win, gain consistency and improve my race craft. I’m looking forward to the coming season with the hope of moving up the grid.

“The new GB3 car was quite a change compared to the old one but as last season went on, we found a ‘window’ the car liked and it was quite pleasant to drive. 2025 was a good learning season as a driver to improve but I didn’t get the results I desired.

“Last season featured ups and downs. I lost quite a lot of the season being unable to stay active and train. I was recovering from breaking my leg in October ’24 for the majority of the season.

“Nonetheless I still found pace as my wound healed and subsequently was training harder as the season progressed.

“Elite Motorsport and I have a good foundation and I believe in myself and also the team to bring good results in this season.”

Team Owner Eddie Ives: “We’re pleased to continue with Flynn for a second season in the GB3 Championship.

“Last year gave him a solid foundation in what is a very competitive series and he showed encouraging pace, particularly as the season progressed.

“It wasn’t an easy year for him with the challenges he faced but his determination and commitment stood out.

“With that experience behind him and a full season ahead, we’re confident he can take a step forward and continue to build towards stronger, more consistent results in 2026.”
