The two part qualifying session at Silverstone is due to commence at 09.35 local time, with Deagen Fairclough leading the pack into this mornings action.
Qualifying one will form the grid for race one, while the second qualifying session, which is due to commence at 09.55, will form the race two grid.
Fairclough posted the fastest time of the two day test in the yesterday's second session, but the results from yesterday suggests an extremely close session could be in store.
The top-three drivers, headed by Fairclough, were within a tenth of a second, with Rodin's Abbi Pulling and Xcel's Lucas Fluxa all pushing him closely.
Fluxa's teammate Rowan Campbell-Pilling has also been a constant figure towards the front in the build-up, while VRD's championship leader Nikita Bedrin has yet to top a session, but always comes good in qualifying.
The lead 17 drivers in testing yesterday were covered by less than a second, suggesting that qualifying could be the closest of the year so far.
