Fundraising efforts for Will Macintyre's Project IMRI initiative at Addenbrooke's Hospital reached new levels at Silverstone on Monday, as the #TeamWill37 Charity Kart Race raised over £127,000 towards the facility.
Over 40 teams entered the event, while an ongoing silent auction will raise further funds towards the £6 million target for a new Intra Operative Magnetic Resonance Imaging (iMRI) facility at the hospital where GB3 race-winner Macintyre has been undergoing treatment for the extremely rare Neuro XLP1 syndrome.
Macintyre was well enough to attend the evening, with other guests including Sky F1 commentator David Croft and Aston Martin F1 reserve driver Jak Crawford.
There was plenty of involvement at the event from the GB3 and GB4 paddocks, including two official teams operating under the Team GB3 and GB4 banners. Team GB3 consisted of 2026 contenders Jack Taylor and Rowan Campbell-Pilling, plus multiple race-winner James Hedley and BRDC British F3 race-winner-turned-commentator Piers Prior.
Team GB4 meanwhile consisted of Enzo Hallman and Demitri Nolan, plus Lucas Blakeley and Spencer Wilds, grandson of ex-F1 racer Mike. The Team GB3 and GB4 squads were entered by series Pole Position award founder John Cavill.
Multiple line-ups were fielded by the Hitech, Elite Motorsport, Fortec Motorsports' and Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing teams, with Deagen Fairclough amongst those competing on track. GB3 alumni Tom Lebbon and GB4 title contender Fred Green were amongst Elite's roster.
GB4 squad Fox Motorsport also entered with their current driver Archie Bullard and Winter Series contender Robert Crawford, plus series alumni Liam McNeilly and Sid Smith. Race-winner Connor Willis was in the line-up for the Purple Sectors team.
