VRD Racing's Nikita Bedrin topped the times as pre-event testing at the Red Bull Ring came to a conclusion on Friday afternoon.
The championship leader's best time came in the first of the day's three sessions, registering a 1m24.525s which was just a tenth of a second shy of the Thursday testing pace set by Deagen Fairclough.
Bedrin, who also topped the second session of the day, finished Friday with a quarter of a second margin to Oliver Wheldon, son of Indy 500 double winner Dan Wheldon. The 15-year-old American is too young to race this weekend, but impressed again by setting the second quickest time of the day, also for VRD Racing.
Rodin's Maxim Rehm was third fastest on Friday, 0.088s behind Wheldon and 0.048s ahead of Hillspeed's Dante Vinci, who was a regular presence at the top of the times throughout the day.
Rehm's teammate Abbi Pulling was quickest in the third and final session, but like the rest of the top-10, it was her lap from session one which proved her best, putting her fifth overall.
Day one pace setter Deagen Fairclough was sixth on the combined times on Friday, 0.045s clear of Xcel's Lucas Fluxa, with the third Rodin of Martin Molnar eighth fastest and just four thousandths of a second further back.
Elite Motorsport duo Flynn Jackes and Kyuho Lee completed the day's top-10, which was covered by just 0.673s.
In an impressively close test, the lead 17 contenders were split by 0.835s, with the top-19 covered by 1.092s.
Action at the Red Bull Ring continues with the race weekend proper tomorrow (Saturday), with the two part qualifying session starting at 10.20 local time, with the first race scheduled for 14.25.
