The GB3 alumni to follow at the Le Mans 24 Hours this weekend

The 94th running of the Le Mans 24 Hours takes place this weekend (13/14 June), with six alumni from GB3 (and its predecessor series BRDC F4 and BRDC British F3) set to go for glory in one of the most famous races in the world.

Meanwhile, a further five drivers with GB3 experience will race in the Road to Le Mans support race, at the wheel of prototype machinery.

007 Aston Martin THOR Team - Aston Martin Valkyrie - Hypercar
Race winners Ross Gunn and Tom Gamble will share the glorious-sounding V12 Aston Martin Valkyrie, which enters the event having topped the pre-event test day at the start of the week.

Gunn was a two-time race winner in the 2013 BRDC F4 Championship, while Gamble took multiple BRDC British F3 race wins with Fortec in 2018, before winning that year's McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award. Both have since embarked upon successful sports car careers, and were 14th in last year's Le Mans. A better year this time around looks likely. Starting position: 11th

3 DKR Engineering Oreca 07-Gibson - LMP2
Mexican driver Sebastian Alvarez was a GB3 race winner with Hitech in 2021, and then switched to the European Le Mans Series in 2022, finishing third in the same year and one better in 2024. He entered Le Mans for the first time last year, and contends for LMP2 honours again this time around. Starting position: 37th (19th in class)

25 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca 07-Gibson - LMP2
Inaugural BRDC F4 champion Jake Hughes has raced almost every sort of car outside of F1, having enjoyed success in Formula 3, Formula 2 and Formula E across the past decade. This year's event marks his Le Mans debut. Starting position: 35th (17th in class)

26 Vector Sport Oreca 07-Gibson - LMP2
Pietro Fittipaldi raced in BRDC F4 during Hughes' championship winning year, and was a race winner at Brands Hatch. The nephew of Brazilian legend Emerson Fittipaldi reached F1 in 2020 as a substitute for Romain Grosjean late in the season, and has also raced in IndyCar and pretty much any type of car since then! 2025 marks his fourth Le Mans. Starting position: 31st (13th in class)

34 Racing Team Turkey by TF Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R - LMGT3
2014 BRDC F4 contender Charlie Eastwood has established himself as one of the world's foremost GT racing drivers, and represents Corvette Racing at the category's highest tier. He's won titles in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, Blancpain GT Series, European and Asian Le Mans Series' and has stood on every step of the podium in the Le Mans 24 Hours, including victory in the 2020 edition. Starting position: 62nd (25th in class)

Road to Le Mans support race
A number of GB3 contenders, including one current star, are racing in the Road to Le Mans race, which is the main support race at the event on Friday morning. 

2024 GB3 race winner Arthur Rogeon will share the number 12 BF by Campos car with August Raber, who contested selected GB3 races last year. 

Lucas Fluxa, who races in GB3 again this year, and was a winner last year, is at the wheel of the the number 19 BF by Campos machine, while Colin Queen pilots the 23Events Racing car. 

Meanwhile, in the LMP3 Pro/Am entrant, Shawn Rashid, with two years of GB3 experience, will race the 34 Inter Europol Competition car.
