VRD Racing's Nikita Bedrin demolished the Spa-Francorchamps GB3 lap record as he claimed his first Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award this year at the legendary Belgian circuit.
The championship leader recorded a 2m12.592s in the second and final race of the event, knocking almost 2.5 seconds off the previous lap record, set last year by Freddie Slater.
Bedrin set the time while operating in clear air at the front of the field, on his way to a third win from the five races held so far in 2026.
He also set the quickest lap in race one, a 2m13.849s staged at the end of Saturday when track conditions were still cleaning up after heavy rain in the morning.
The Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award is presented by GB3's control fuel supplier to the driver who sets the fastest race lap at each race event.
