Molnar marks up new GB3 lap record time on first day of Donington Park test

18 March 2026

Rodin Motorsport's Martin Molnar topped three of the four sessions on the first day of the Donington Park media day test on Wednesday, as the Hungarian driver notched up a GB3 lap record-beating time.

His session four effort of 1m21.130s is over 1.6 seconds quicker than last year's fastest lap, and 1.2s better than the series' outright lap record.

After Fortec's Jack Taylor set the best time in session one, Molnar shot to the top in session two and was unbeatable thereafter, and ended up just under four tenths of a second quicker than Hillspeed's Dante Vinci, who moved up to second in the final session.

Taylor was third quickest overall, improving constantly throughout the day and within half a second of the outright pace.

Xcel's Rowan Campbell-Pilling was next up, and just 0.014s ahead of Rodin's Abbi Pulling, with Arden's Leon Wilson completing the top-six and less than seven tenths away from top spot.

The third Rodin car of Maxim Rehm completed the lead seven drivers, who all recorded their best time late in the day.

Elite's Flynn Jackes was eighth courtesy of his session two lap, while the second Hillspeed car of Peter Bouzinelos, and the second Elite machine, with the driver name withheld, completed the top-10.

Testing resumes tomorrow with four more sessions at Donington Park.
