Pulling: “It’s an important year for me”

05 March 2026

Rodin Motorsport’s Abbi Pulling returns for a second GB3 Championship campaign in 2026, and the British driver is raring to get back into action during official testing, which starts next week at Snetterton.

Speaking in her first column for Motorsport News, Pulling said: “I just want to get back behind the wheel of my GB3 car ahead of my second season in the championship with Rodin; I want to get back in my baby!”

Pulling ended her season on a high, with a breakthrough podium at Donington Park and then a consistent front-running performance at Monza, where she was unlucky to miss out on another podium.

She reckons further breakthroughs have been made in the months since. “In the winter testing after the season last year, my one-lap pace increased and I was definitely more comfortable with that. So it’s continuing and starting where I left off. If I can do that, keep present, keep in a good place mentally, then I’m planning to set myself up for a good year.”

The GB3 car has received another comprehensive package of updates over the winter break, including a higher torque engine, and Pulling is keen to sample the upgraded machinery in the coming weeks.

“We did a lot of the development for the car last year at Rodin. The team did an amazing job of getting on top of everything in such a short period of time and giving us drivers in the team a really good foundation for the car before we’d even jumped in. I’m hoping we do the same again this year with the upgrades.

“I’m looking to figure out the engine modification straight away, seeing what it likes and doesn’t like. It’s going to be a bit more traction limited and a bit more to manage. That’s going to be exciting.”

She’s also worked hard behind the scenes to be as well prepared both physically and mentally as she can ahead of a pivotal year, topped up by some further experience as part of her Nissan Formula E role.

“I’ve done a lot of physical training in the off-season and really pushed to be the best version of myself, balancing that with all these other commitments. Then going to France quite a lot with Nissan, and being back with Rodin in the factory and on the simulator. It’s been quite taxing, but it’s why I do it, I love it, and I’m so privileged to travel the world and be part of these huge organisations and teams.

“It’s been non-stop, but I am also finding time for myself and looking after myself a bit more this year. If I need a day to just chill out, I’ll try and do it and not feel guilty about it.

“It’s an important year for me. I need to perform. So I’m making sure that I’m giving myself the best opportunity to do that.”
