How Nikita Bedrin can win the GB3 title on Saturday

03 November 2026

VRD Racing’s Nikita Bedrin can claim the 2026 GB3 title on Saturday at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, simply needing to finish seventh or higher in the first race to put him out of reach of his rivals.

He currently holds an 89-point lead at the top of the standings, with a maximum of 102 points available across the three races. Should he score 14 points or more this weekend, he is champion no matter what his rivals do.

With GB3’s reverse grid points system, Bedrin could even strengthen his position further in qualifying, where both Lucas Fluxa and Martin Molnar could be eliminated from contention before the races, should they qualify in certain positions!

As things currently stand, and ahead of qualifying, here’s the full permutations ahead of the weekend:
If Bedrin finishes inside the top-seven of race one, he wins the championship
If Bedrin finishes eighth in race one, Fairclough has to win to remain in contention, while Lucas Fluxa and Martin Molnar will be eliminated no matter what
If Bedrin finishes ninth in race one, Fairclough has to win to remain in contention and the remaining contenders are still eliminated
If Bedrin finishes between 10th, 11th, 12th or 13th in race one, Fairclough and Fluxa both have to win to remain in contention, and Molnar is still eliminated
If Bedrin finishes 14th or 15th in race one, Fairclough has to finish second or higher, Fluxa has to win and Molnar also has to win to stay in contention
If Bedrin finishes 16th, 17th or 18th in race one, Fairclough has to finish second or higher, Fluxa has to finish second or higher, and Molnar has to win to stay in contention
If Bedrin finishes 19th in race one, Fairclough has to finish third or higher, Fluxa has to finish second or higher, and Molnar has to win to stay in contention
If Bedrin finishes 20th in race one, Fairclough has to finish third or higher, Fluxa has to finish second or higher, and Molnar has to finish second or higher to remain in contention
If Bedrin fails to score, Fairclough still has to finish third or higher, Fluxa has to finish third or higher, and Molnar has to finish second or higher to remain in contention

Qualifying permutations
If Fluxa qualifies 12th on the combined times in qualifying for the race three grid, there won’t be enough points available to him in race three to remain in title contention.
If Molnar qualifies 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th on the combined qualifying times, there won’t be enough points available to him in race three to remain in title contention.
