Multiple GB4 podium finisher Matan Achituv set for GB3 debut at Barcelona with Arden Motorsport

23 October 2026

Matan Achituv will join Arden Motorsport as he makes the step from GB4 to GB3 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on 7/8 November.

The Israeli driver impressed in his maiden campaign of UK-based single-seater racing this year, claiming two podiums in the GB4 Championship. His first came during his debut weekend at Silvertone with an excellent drive to second place, a feat he matched in the final race of the campaign on the mighty Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit.

The 16-year-old proved his dependability by finishing inside the top-10 on 10 separate occasions, and also had one of the most impressive finishing records of any driver in the series, with only two retirements all year.

Having not raced in Europe before the 2026 season, his GB4 efforts came off the back of a highly promising year in the USA. A sixth place finish in the YACademy Winter Series was followed by a full campaign in the 2025 USF Juniors Championship, where he was one of the series’ leading rookie drivers.

Matan had only commenced his karting career in 2022, but quickly cemented his spot as one of his country’s most exciting talents by finishing second in the ROK Cup Junior Israel Karting Championship in 2023. He then made his car racing debut with six appearances in the Skip Barber Formula Race Series in 2024.

He’s now preparing for his biggest move yet, into one of Europe’s premier single-seater categories at one of the longest standing venues on the F1 calendar.

Matan Achituv: “I’m really excited to be making my GB3 Championship debut at Barcelona. It’s a great opportunity to step up from GB4, challenge myself in a faster car and gain some valuable experience against a strong field of drivers.

“I know there’s going to be a lot to learn, but I’m looking forward to getting stuck in, making the most of the opportunity and finishing the season on a high.”

Arden Motorsport Team Principal Garry Horner: “We’re very pleased to have signed Matan for the final GB3 round of the year at Barcelona, and to expand our line-up back up to two cars. Matan showed lots of promise racing against us in GB4 this year, and we’re sure he will make a strong impression during his GB3 debut with us in a couple of weeks’ time.”
