Kanato Le will make a return to the GB3 Championship for this weekend’s (26/27 September) rounds at Brands Hatch, racing with Hitech.
The Japanese driver has made selected appearances in GB3 across recent seasons, with his first races coming in 2024 before more regular entries in 2025. He was a pole sitter and a race winner at Spa-Francorchamps, where he also claimed an additional podium finish.
His full-time campaign in 2026 has been in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, and he took a podium finish at the Hungaroring in addition to numerous points finishes.
Le returns to Hitech having previously raced for the team in the 2023 F4 British Championship and in the Formula Regional Oceania Trophy earlier this year, taking one win and six podium finishes on his way to sixth in the championship.
Kanato joins multiple race winner Deagen Fairclough and Yuhao Fu in the team's three-car line-up. Jacob Micallef has completed his planned stint with the team, and is now focusing on his prior commitments, which clash with the final two GB3 events of the year.

“Brands Hatch is another important weekend for us and we know from the recent test that the field is very closely matched there. We’ll be looking to use what we learned in testing and continue fighting at the front.
