After taking a clean-sweep of yesterday's test sessions, Hitech's Deagen Fairclough maintained his perfect start to the Donington Park weekend by setting the fastest time in a damp opening Friday session.
In a session with a couple of red flags for gravel excursions, Fairclough eventually ground his lap time down to a 1m21.750s, less than a second away from yesterday's best, despite a damp track surface.
The British driver was just 0.011s clear of Hillspeed's Peter Bouzinelos, with VRD Racing's Nikita Bedrin only 0.025s further back, with the top-three therefore split by 0.036s.
Rodin's Abbi Pulling popped up into fourth late on, 0.117s away from Bedrin and seven thousandths of a second clear of Elite's Flynn Jackes in fifth.
The second Elite car of Kyuho Lee was next up, 0.048s behind his teammate and 0.021s faster than Rodin's Maxim Rehm.
VRD's Patricio Gonzalez and Xcel's Rowan Campbell-Pilling were split by 0.020s, with the top nine all within three tenths of a second.
VRD's testing contender Ryan Ginnatta continued his decent adaptation to GB3 machinery, as he completed the top-10.
Two more sessions are due to follow today at 14.15 and 17.10 BST.
