VRD Racing's Nikita Bedrin and Hitech's Deagen Fairclough added to their pole position hauls at Donington Park, with the duo sharing the pole positions on offer last weekend.
Championship leader Bedrin claimed his sixth pole of the year in the first qualifying session, while Fairclough made it three from the last four in qualifying two.
In both sessions, around half a tenth of a second separated the pair, as they proved the class of the field in the East Midlands. Fairclough had topped all the pre-event test sessions leading up to the event, but Bedrin stole pole in Q1, despite never driving at the circuit before testing commenced.
Fairclough got his revenge in Q2, which was shortened by a red flag. But he still had time to record the quickest ever GB3 lap around the Leicestershire circuit.
Both drivers received £300 in prize money for their poles, as well as a trophy, presented by award founder John Cavill. The driver with the most pole positions at the end of the season will claim the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup and a £2,000 prize. The team of the driver with the most poles will also earn £2,000.
Bedrin still heads the charge for this year's award, three poles clear of the pack, with Fairclough now his lead pursuer.
John is the son of Jack Cavill, who played a prominent role in supporting underfunded drivers from the 1960s onwards. John has followed in his footsteps since, and has been a partner of the GB3 Championship with the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup since the series' formation as BRDC F4 in 2013.
Previous winners of the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup include F1 title contender George Russell, IndyCar podium finisher Linus Lundqvist and current Williams F1 reserve Luke Browning. F1 world champion Lando Norris and Haas F1 star Ollie Bearman are others to have received prizes as part of the award.
