Multi-category race winner Nikita Bedrin will join VRD Racing for a GB3 Championship title challenge in 2026.
The 19-year-old has won races in every category he has contested, including Formula 4, Formula Regional Middle, and the FIA F3 Championship.
Following a karting career that generated eight major titles, he stepped up to F4 in 2021, and won races in Italian and ADAC F4 in his first year. Remaining in the category for the following campaign, he finished fourth in the F4 UAE Championship with two wins, and fourth again in ADAC F4 with another victory.
Confirming his spot on the FIA F3 grid for 2023, he began his year in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship, finishing eighth overall with victories at the Dubai Autodrome and at Yas Marina.
The F3 campaign that followed netted podiums at the Hungaroring and Spa-Francorchamps, and he also secured a podium while completing four Formula Regional European Championship appearances.
Another busy season in 2024 encompassed nine F4 UAE Championship races and another full FIA F3 campaign, with a victory in the Sprint Race at the Hungaroring a major highlight. When his schedule allowed, he also contested 14 Formula Regional European events and two Eurocup-3 races.
Last season, he completed a full campaign in Formula Regional Europe, with two podiums, claimed four podiums in Formula Regional Middle East, and enjoyed a successful F3 return at Melbourne, taking sixth and then fourth.
Bedrin, who is also a development driver for the DS Penske Formula E team, is now switching his racing focus to the GB3 Championship, having completed several tests across recent weeks with the VRD Racing team.
