Biography

Arden Motorsport has confirmed 17-year-old Canadian racer Nico Christodoulou will join the team’s expanded three-car line-up for this weekend’s Donington Park rounds.

Christodoulou’s addition comes after a tie-up between the Banbury-based operation and the American Velocity Racing Development squad, for whom Christodoulou races in the Formula Regional Americas category.

The Ontario contender made his single-seater debut in 2018 with races in the Atlantic Championship and F2000 before committing to a full-time campaign in the 2018-19 Formula 4 Nacam Championship, finishing fourth overall with 11 podiums.

Despite the complications of 2020, Christodoulou managed a full season in F4 USA with a podium at the Circuit of the Americas, while also competing in selected USF2000 events.

Last year was his most successful season to date, remaining in US F4 and finishing fourth overall with three victories, seven additional podiums, two pole positions and four fastest laps.

He’s since made a strong start to life in Formula Regional Americas, with four top-six finishes in the first six races with Velocity Racing Development.
